What I learned
Before enrolling in this class, my understanding of AI was limited to basic knowledge, and my interaction with ChatGPT was restricted to single-sentence prompts, repeating until I achieved satisfactory results.
However, this course has broadened my perspective by introducing me to various chatbots, like Claude, and emphasizing the importance of effective prompts using the five-step approach.
Moreover, I discovered a diverse range of essay formats beyond the traditional, such as video essays and podcasts. This revelation has expanded my communicative skills and opened new avenues for creative expression.
Continuance Journey
One of the most impactful aspects of this class has been its exploration of rhetorical fallacies. Through that, I gained insight into how these fallacies are not merely theoretical constructs but are often employed in real-world scenarios, particularly within legal discourse. Recognizing fallacies, such as ad hominem attacks, has deepened my understanding of argumentation and how individuals strategically navigate debates.
Having a background in Law, I now appreciate the prevalence of rhetorical fallacies in legal settings, highlighting the strategic use of persuasive techniques in advocacy. This newfound knowledge equips me with a valuable skill set applicable to various aspects of my personal and professional life.
